Second day was quite uneventful, despite the fact I the voice in my head has all of a sudden taken on a british accent. Too much Harry Potter? Nevah.

A bit entranced by the freakish easiness of the Cake Bible’s Yellow Butter Cake, I couldn’t help but whip up its partner in crime, All-American Chocolate Butter Cake. Note to self: figuring out that the sugar’s gone half-way through a recipe is not a good way to rest the brain. I hammered on some sugar cubes for a while there and somehow scraped together a cup and a half. Not pretty, I tell you.
